Between 15–19 September 2025, the ERATOSTHENES Centre of Excellence hosted a Staff Exchange in Limassol, bringing together partners from DFKI (Germany) and the University of Rome Tor Vergata (Italy). The sessions focused on advancing AI and Earth Observation applications for disaster risk reduction, covering topics such as fuel map development, flood susceptibility, marine pollution monitoring, coastal erosion, landslide and earthquake risk assessment, as well as applications in agriculture and atmospheric sciences. The exchange fostered knowledge transfer, hands-on collaboration, and set the basis for new joint research initiatives.
