WP2 International research on AI for EO and best practices assessment / DFKI
Evaluation of current and future research/innovation agenda, and identification of best practices on AI for EO, internationally, with the focus on Disaster Risk Reduction. Market analysis for ECoE after adopting AI, and development of a strategic collaboration plan and five-year roadmap for future collaborations with potential partners.

WP3 Gap analysis and capacity development of the ECoE / CLK
Evaluation of the current position and capabilities of the ECoE and gap analysis on scientific knowledge,innovation capacity and infrastructure. Identification of existing gaps, leading to recommendations for the required actions to be taken for the ECoE to excel in AI. Basis for the formulation of the capacity building activities.

WP4 Capacity building and knowledge transfer / UNITOV
Several capacity building activities in various formats (workshops, webinars, joint summer schools, short-staff exchanges and expert visits) will be organized and performed by the leading experts of the project, providing valuable knowledge and skills to ECoE’s staff on AI for EO on Environmental Hazards, and on research management and administration. Applications will be carried out during these trainings to ensure the successful knowledge transfer.

WP5 Exploratory project on AI for EO on Disaster Risk Reduction / ECoE
A joint exploratory research project, in cooperation with all project partners, will be carried out on the topic of EO on Disaster Risk Reduction – Environmental Hazards using AI, serving as the foundation for future collaborations with the advanced partners and create stronger bonds with end users/stakeholders. The knowledge gained through the capacity building activities, the guidance of the advanced partners, and the commercialization, exploitation, and product development input from CLK will lead to the development of the first AI-EO ECoE product.
